Tom Taylor – President of Preston South Rotary Club recently called in to our Penwortham branch to ask if we sent old, unwanted spectacles to Vision Aid Overseas. He informed us that Year 6 pupils from Broad Oak Primary School have been very busy collecting unwanted spectacles!
Tom came with Paige, Lily and Emily and handed over a large box full to Debbie at the Penwortham branch. They are going to keep collecting in the new school year, welldone guys!
640 million people worldwide can’t see properly to learn and earn simply because they need glasses. Vision Aid Overseas exists so that children in Africa who can’t see can learn and get an education, and adults who can’t see can earn to support their families and contribute to their communities.
If you have any unwanted spectacles simply drop them in to your nearest David H Myers branch and we will send them away for you.
