What we can expect to see from Spectacle trends for 2018 ?
Now that the festivities are well and truly over and the decs are down maybe it’s time to take a look at what’s in our wardrobe.
As we find ourselves flung into 2018, many of us are starting to think ‘New Year-New You’! The first thing we might think about (after deciding which diet to try -Veganuary-dry January etc.!) is revamping our wardrobe . A new outfit or 2, maybe try a bit of a different image? That’s a great idea but it’s important not to neglect your specs!
You change your outfit daily, but what about your glasses? You probably put the same pair on day in day out regardless of what you’re wearing below the neck-so it’s even more crucial that you get it right.
For 2018 we see an eclectic mix of patterns, skinny metals and mattes. Here are some of our faves.
I love the pattern on this acetate Vanni 1260 with it’s bold top and subtle lower colour. Vanni carries the ‘made in Italy for sure’ guarantee which ensures an A to Z Made in Italy product.
I love the combination of colours on this Cocoa Mint 9046 -these would literally go with any outfit.
The Polo Ralph Lauren is a great acetate and metal combination. This shiny dark havana with gold metal sides is a winning mix.
Not everyone wants a bold statement and these skinny metals are a refreshing change from the chunkier acetates we’ve become so used to.
These are real retro Rayban’s! An aviator shape in a fine gold metal colour-this speaks for itself!
The Saint Lauren 153 brings the traditional aviator shape bang up to date -this matte black colour really does make a statement for a fine metal.
Another throwback. The Rayban 3447v is a classic round eye. Lightweight and fine and of course available in the iconic sunglass version aswell.
The Oakley Splinter 8077 is a chunky square matte acetate-perfect if you feel like a more sporty look.
The Oakley Splinter 8105-again, ideal if you want a more sporty look. This frame satisfies the need for a round eye with a chunky look.
This Gant 3039 looks so sharp it’s in danger of cutting itself! Chunky with a matte finish, this would complete the outfit of any fashion conscious gent.
A mix up is a cross between an acetate and a metal frame. The contrast of a metal bridge against an acetate frame is a great look. These frames are perfect for someone who loves an acetate frame but struggle with the fitting on the bridge of their nose. Traditionally, an acetate frame has no nose pads and cannot be adjusted. With a mix up, the metal bridge has nose pads and can be more easily tweaked to fit a tricky nose.
Italian brand Persol are right at the top of their game when it comes to style and chic. The Persol 3109 would not disappoint even the most discerning Italian.
The Prada 03T is a striking metal/acetate mix incorporating the trendy round eye shape.
Top brand Rayban have also introduced a mix up. I think this is a fantastic colour combo-cool silver metalwork and a crystal acetate front.
We hope you like our choices as much as we do,but of course we have many many more to choose from instore!
