Children & Vision

Our young patients are of equal importance to us at David H Myers. We have the facilities to cater for children of all ages, in an environment that is both friendly and caring. An eye examination should form part of you child's general health routine.

REASSURANCE
Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about your child's eyecare. If you suspect your child is having any difficulties visually then you should contact us immediately. Eye examinations are free for children under the age of 16, and also children under 19 and still in full time education.

CHILDREN'S EYEWEAR
David H Myers offer a comprehensive collection of eyewear for children. The collection is based on our understanding of the differences in taste, which emerge according to the age of the children concerned.

CONFIDENCE
Giving children the confidence to wear their new spectacles is one of the highest priorities at David H Myers. When selecting children's frames it is imperative that the frame is both comfortable and stylish.

CHILDREN'S FASHION
For younger children who demand colours and themes, we stock Hush Puppies, Paddington Bear and Adidas amongst our children's range. For older children who are interested in looking more grown up, we stock adult styles in scaled down sizes, as well as many fashionable and branded frames which are becoming increasingly popular.

SPECTACLE LENSES FOR CHILDREN
Safety and comfort are the priorities. Plastic lenses are used in all children's spectacles made at David H Myers, thus ensuring the lenses are lightweight and robust. For children with high-powered prescriptions, we recommend lenses in thinner designs and specially made sizes. Ensuring the spectacles look good and feel comfortable provides children with the confidence to wear their new spectacles.
